For more than 40 years, John has been an unflappable, bottom-line driven business builder. John has created and managed venerable brands where he drove large sales forces within the consumer electronics, commercial A/V and telecommunication spaces.
As the Vice President of McIntosh Labs, John was responsible for creating an integrated product, sales, and marketing approach that led to the company’s first profitability in the ten years of parent Clarion Corporation’s ownership. During his tenure with Curtco Publishing, John served as Publisher and later, Director of Marketing for several popular consumer magazines and digital media properties including; Home Theater, Home Theater Buyer’s Guide, Car Sound and CASTLE. As National Sales Manager for Kenwood USA, John lead the company to record sales and increased profitability as a result of restructuring sizable sales forces and reporting systems. While at a/d/s/, Analog and Digital Systems, John launched and shepherded for a decade their Automotive HiFi and Architectural Audio divisions. At a/d/s/, John oversaw a large sales force, as well as numerous product and production plans that resulted in rapid growth and industry leading brand positioning. John has run his own marketing, consulting and distribution company that has serviced a client list of manufacturers and Hollywood studios that reads like a “Who’s Who”.
He lives in Scottsdale Arizona and holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Cal State University, Long Beach State and is an avid audiophile, home theater enthusiast and gym rat. He’s still pluggin’ away at golf.
